Caprona

Caprona

Caprona is a fraction of Vicopisano town of the province of Pisa. Upstream of the country can easily noted above a rocky spur the "tower of Upezzinghi", a copy of the nineteenth century tower of the ancient castle at the half century and dismantled by Florence in 1433. We are also the ancient church of Santa Giulia, documented in a document dating back to 1096. Around the end of the XII and the beginning of the thirteenth century was also erected a bell. The style is that Pisan Romanesque composed in part by external decorative arches placed on shelves, and decorated with human heads and animals.
